Headlight removal

Some people say you just removing the out 2 screws on each front arch gives the bumper enough twist to let you get the 3rd headlight bolts.

Ive never tried it, and never intend to. The removal of the bumper is simple, but just takes time. Theres 4 bolts infront of the radiator.

Do you need to remove the bumper to take the headlights out ?

And if so can you give me the full lowdown,

Cheers

Right i took the bumper off! As MC BOB said your supposed to be able to twist it but i didnt think it was possible! To take the bumper off get underneath it to the left and right there are 2 bolts! undo them both, Then the arch screws then pull off! The lights, You will see all the bolts to the lights so it will be simple theres 3 bolts and 1 screw IIRC. its a simple job! bolts for the bumper are 13's.

Exactly, doesnt really make a difference to me, I enjoy having my windows down, sunroof open when its nice and sunny, keeps me nice and cool and refreshed. Prefer it to keeping my windows up with aircon on :P

Took my front bumper off and replaced it in 20 minutes today ...

Left side looking from front i did from above with a quarter drive ratchet short extension and short socket

Right side looking from front i did from below with same ratchet minus the extension..

And thats with air con left on and intact.

also included swapping over spots and number plate in that 20 minutes

Get the right tools its simple.....

Snapon FTW :D
