Gethin-mk6
I had second hand 16" alloy wheels put on my escort last week, and went to get them ballanced today. When they took the wheels off the car they said that they were not suitable for my car, and that ford alloys would be best? How is this when they are 4 bolt alloys, the same as the steelies i had on? I thought any alloys, aslong as they had the same amount of bolts would fit any car? Can anyone clear this up for me? bluliz
Can anyone clear this up for me? No, You havent supplied any information on your wheels except that they are 16". Spec of the fitment is needed, this should be stamped into the wheels. They need to have a PCD of 4x108, an ET(offset) of around 35 and have the right sized spigot (sp) in the centre for the Hubs. You have been asked to provide the actual specs of the wheels so people here can confirm whether or not they're suitable.

nickblackburn82
as the wheels came off the car im assuming they are the right stud alignment obviously offset may be different but who cares i know hundreds of ppl that dont have exact ford offset only problem could be they may need spigot rings which would be cheaper than new wheels what did the wheels look like on the car
