Lee R
It is guarteed 190bhp After its all been plumbed in they put it on the rolling road to make sure its 190. Not sur eon tourque fiqures. It isnt always about money. A lot of people who ive spoken to would hate to see me get rid of my car as its changed soo much and ive already put alot of money into it so why stop now just because of what the car is worth. If thats the case any point in Escort Evolution? Golf Gti are common as muck, my car would be unique oh dear.....................you sound just like I did, lol Dunno about you, but I was well pis$ed when I got raped by 'common as muck' cars worth half of my outlay As for insurance, will the fact its gonna be heavily modified not change the "it will be the price of a 2.0 Mondeo" by quite a bit??? dutchkev
but still, if you think its a viable option the by all means go for it would be interesting to see
Gonzo0
Ive weighed up the options and for me going down the throttle body route is more viable. Cheaper to declare the tuned throttle bodied engine than the turbo one. At first i thought the turbo route would be easy but after a couple of days of asking about and reading various websites its going to be a ball ache and possibly quite expensive. The only reason the throttle body package is soo high is due to the fact that its a blacktop engine so fabrication work needs to be done.

I really can't begin to explain how much better even a low boost turbo conversion at say, 200bhp, will be.......it's been done to death now, so surely not to much of a ballache???, and achievable with 3k says the general consensus.... is the insurance alot different??
