I have a bit of an issue with using live at the minute, the router is in the spare bedroom/office, and its a crappy sky one and the wireless keeps dropping out, so I have to hard wire it, which mean a right faff getting the wire out and running it from the Xbox room to the router, which the cat then trip over and drags the router off the cabinet and pulls the plug on it, so I rarely do it. I use it for: - Playing DVD's and Blue Rays in High Definition- Playing videos from my PC (you just transfer them over using a USB stick or drive)- Show off holiday photographs- Watch TV using the integrated BBC iPlayer And play games obviously We've got games like Buzz and Singstar which are great and my brother plays Rock Guitar (or is it Band Hero?) And the PS3 Slim is cheaper at £250 now. But if you're only going to play games on it, then the 360 would be the sensible choice as it's a lot cheaper. Ahh yes WWWD, Buzz is a cracking game on the PS3. Did you know you can Wirelessly stream your video's & music from your PC now WWWD if you get a program called PS3 Media Server on your PC. It's an excellent tool, saves faffing with Memory sticks. ------------------------------------- Whats said above sums it up perfectly, Although, I am leaning to get a 360 AS WELL as my PS3 purely because the choice of games available on it, but not on the PS3. Chris_209 Posted January 29, 2010 Share Posted January 29, 2010 PS3..because Games catalogues are mostly the samePs3 will have exclusives like final fantasy 13, heavy rain, and gran turismo 5PS3 has blu ray and the computing power has still to reach its limit, XBOX 360 technology is pretty much maxed out now. There will have to be a new XBOX released to compete with what the PS3 will be capable of once a developer puts the effort in (like PD are with gran turismo 5) However if all you want to do is play games that are on both consoles and you want to save cash and play with your xbox friends then get the xbox...FF 13 is on 360,on 3 discs iirc also the video and audio is compressed.Don't forget Uncharted 1&2,MAG,God Of War 3,Modnation Racers(lbp style racer)Heavy Rain (looks very interesting)I do have both and tbh the 360 exclusives are not amazing,and there are not that many of them worth buying. I am thinking of getting a 360 too purely because I want to play Forza, PGR, Midtown Madness..... Each console has exclusives & also more of a variety on a certain game...... I see more Driving games on the 360 than I do on the PS3.... I see more action games on the PS3 than I do the 360??? see my point.... You just have to weigh the options up really.
