EscortNreg
humf??? And I though Steve was a random name for a pet haha! I do love my reptiles, used to have a californian corn, and a chile rose...But cut down my collection, so only have a royal, iguana, and turtles (aswell as my fish and dog) Cut down??? lol Thats double the amount of pets my missus will EVER let me have lol. I called it Humf as Humf is my 2 year olds favorite TV character... So he associates the snake with him and has no fear and is exited to see him... It actually works lol
88-XR3i
haha fair enough! My nipper is more than happy to go get steve out, although I dont ask him in case he startles him and gets bit! Not that he has ever bitten, but there is always a 1st! You cant ever tame a reptile, they only learn to tollerate handling and people Im still thinking of parting with the iguana, not sure...I keep thinking I will, then think no I wont, then maybe lol! But my turtles and steve arent going anywhere! Its not everyday you get large adult turtles that will eat prawns and veg out of your hands! 88-XR3i
They are both easy to look after, just a few extras needed for setting up if they are youngsters Young turtles need UV and other things for growth, whereas adults they dont need it With Chams, they need a high humidity...But no, your not having my turtles hahaha! get a 3ft tank, and then your half way there for turtles, fantastic creatures! fresh dfm
theres a hatchling corn in my reptile shop now that is just like magners, so tempted to get it as i love how bright magners is now. Talkin about tame feeding, my mates beardie is quite the opposite, hes well funny when he eats because he dosent like people watching him eat, he will sit by the food staring at you until you look away and then he will eat cautiously looking at you out the corner of his eye and if you turn to look at him he will stop again, tis so funny. 88-XR3i
Beardies have a strange tendancy to be like that, they are strange creatures...I had 2 and wouldnt ever get another, I love my reptiles but they were just more trouble than they were worth! If I ever get another Lizard its going to be a Frilled Lizard http://animals.nationalgeographic.com/staticfiles/NGS/Shared/StaticFiles/animals/images/primary/frilled-lizard.jpg Stunning creatures!!! But if you want to see some beautiful snakes, check out royal morphs...Cost a fortune but when they look like this, its understandable why people pay through the back teeth for them http://www.royalmorphsforsale.com/userimages/SILVERBULLET.jpg http://gallery.pethobbyist.com/data/10600killer_clown_09_holdback-med.JPG http://blogsimages.skynet.be/images_v2/002/548/388/20070821/dyn001_original_480_320_jpeg_2548388_a4d6adf95ef23c522c4d0c5aa976a903.jpg

88-XR3i
yeah, but lets just say, you can go out and buy probably 2 or 3 good condition Escorts for the price of 1 of them! And in some cases, its cheaper to buy a cossie!!!

88-XR3i
Ive known some of them to go for about £1k, and some are rarer than that!!! Whereas a cheap morph can fetch about £500....which is still alot considering my steve cost me £85 as a baby as he is a standard breed I would love a morph, but wouldnt ever be able to afford it! As for life span, they can live for a good few years, and get 2, breed them, and you can probably afford a decent escort cossie with the money you make and still have a good night out!
