Heat mat for now but gonna put a thermostat on it to 85 degrees. Can a normal thermostat be used on a heat mat?
KNITERIDER
if its a normal thermostat yes (as in constant not pulse or on off). the ones in brackets may work but wouldnt advise as never tried but a normal constant heat one will be fine like an exo terra one etc. make sure the probe is touching whatever the heat mat is in contact with (is it in or under the viv) and make sure the snake cant move it as if it gets between the mat and the sensor the heat will keep rising.
