Had to get the centre console, window switches and gauge panel sorted too but I'll post some pics once its installed And thanks for the offers guys but two brothers is enough to deal with
Chris O
Can I adopt you as my brother, and borrow your car? i was thinking the same, well the borrowing bit but without the family tie! The perks of being family!!! (Or more to the point, just putting up with him) Somewhat of a let down when I start using my own car again, feels so slow Cheers Dan for lending it to me
Danzetec
The only person on evo to fit a 2ltr and decide it feels slower lol
Danzetec
Decided to swap the headlights back to standard for now, improves the sleeper look but I will have to get better bulbs if I keep them on. Anyone recommend which uprated bulbs are good for escort lamps? http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb87/Danzetec/estate004.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb87/Danzetec/estate005.jpg Also changed to TIM gauges because they match the black dials I've got and they do a 1 bar version of the boost gauge, which will be good for me http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb87/Danzetec/estate006.jpg Mondeo centre console is re-fitted as is the wideband lambda gauge with my new adapter just need to wire over to the ECU May change the vinyl covering (stripped from a door card) on the adapter, it does match but I'm not happy with the finish. May go plain black but I've also been offered to have it carbon wrapped (with actual carbon fibre!) which would be very nice but I may need some other bits done to match! http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb87/Danzetec/estate001.jpg Plan is to use the temperature gauge (on right) to monitor intake temperatures but I may swap this out for a volt gauge which I've got http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb87/Danzetec/estate003.jpg Relocated window switcheshttp://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb87/Danzetec/estate002.jpg
bongo
lookes wicked, any closer to its final mapping? also for bulbs i found ring xenon max bulbs to be a good upgrade. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/H4-Ring-Xenon-Ma...=item5d317a159a
massivewangers
Always liked the Mondeo console mod in your own car, glad you've carried it over. I actually quite liked the panel in black as it was before. Headlights are an improvement. Just needs the bonnet swapping for a standard one and the outside will be spot on then
Danzetec
Grabbing time when I can but will hopefully be ready soon, cheers Bongo I will get some ordered up Cheers mate, the gauge panel will probably end up being black again anyway just cos it'll be easier! I think I prefer the standard headlights too now but I won't be swapping my bonnet over I'm afraid
Jontrev
Just found this, great reading. Danzetec
Cheers mate, I like the look of modded estates and they are obviously more useful

Tez162003
Awesome, engine looks well done. Love those 325mm AP's on an estate.
Danzetec
Cheers mate, no one expects it from an estate! Just looking back at the photos and now the jubilee clips are done in black heat-shrink, you can bearly see the intercooler! I've got to find time to investigate the wideband lambda, it reads out fine on the front of the unit but on the megatune software the reading is different. I thought I had wired the wrong output but I've checked that and its right. The megatune doesn't seem to have an option to calibrate to the gauge so I've got to investigate the CD that came with the WB gauge to see if I can calibrate the output to the ECU... its always harder that you think
Stu
You should be able to configure a custom sensor linearisation for MegaTune Dan.
Danzetec
Where abouts is that in megatune Stu? Is it simply inputting values in a table that I'd presumably find on the gauge software disc?
