Phil i think in the excitement of getting your splitter cleaned you got mixed up with who lent you the gel it was me i am a postie but not postie who was on the stand and with his rs2000 his user name is postie because of the ex post van he's building and what a cracking van thats gonna be. Anyway nice to meet you phil and your car looks as good in the flesh as it does in your photos.

Yeh I remember now, Postie helped me black my tyres and polish my hood, in amongst that you helped me black the splitter, sorry, I didn't forget who was who just what happened :)

Thanks, by the way I don't think your paintwork is as bad as you think, people all said your car was mint.

That 1st pic of cars waiting to go out, red cossie at the bottom reg H1 MUT is a beast. It drove past earlier in the day, would of loved to see it on the track, all 700 horses of it

I was nakard when I got home. Trying to entertain Oliver after a 4 hr journey, not being allowed to run and touch stuff followed by another 4 hr journey then I had to watch olympic closing ceremony. Saw up untill half 11 then passed out lol

Will defo go again next year but with my car and no child or missus lol

Uurg, I can imagine that was tiring, yeh that cossie was one of many beasts :)

Crack on with the car, everyone wants to see it done, matt black will look real nice, I assume that's the same colour as that fiesta in the pic of my car?

I miss this car!! =(

LOL, hardly the same car, think it missed you too with all the problems i've have over the last year, been great since we changed the heart.

Air Con guy was on site today at work to fix our office Air Con, I asked for a joke 'wanna sort my car?' (theres been no gas since engine went in) The man said yes and has just finished, so now I have a fully recharged Air Con, one of those jobs you just dont get round too.

Dropping the tank in a week again to fit a new fuel pump seal and a new fuel pump and thats about it for plans really, might focus on rattles inside the car etc, you know those annoying ones.

Maybe new suspension, G-MAX bit of a budget kit I think.

Oh yeh, and the cossies are going finally.....

Have you found some nice rims then mate?

Nice I doubt will be an opinion shared by all, the cosworths are unoffensive really, not much for the observer to grumble about.

I never liked them that much really, wrong offset, stretched tyres etc, no though, I haven't got any yet but its only a matter of time now.

I thought you loved those wheels? Even I was surprissed how much better they look in the flesh rather than in a pic. Look forward to seeing what you decide to go for.

Im going up to exeter on mon night to take his exhaust off his car, he suggested we give you a buzz, see if you fancy popping up?

Never said I loved em, I do like em but until now I've never had a chance to consider anything else, at the Ford Fair I saw so many different rims.....just got me thinking, if i get it wrong ill fall back to mondeo 16's but I'm going for something that will match my blue theme, like my callipers, rocker etc. might look wak.

I'd love to dude but i can't, got a night shift my man.

On a side note as I have no signal where I live hit me on me@taylorp.com , always pick emails up.

Right well......fking pattern parts, I know I do alot of miles but my non gen Idle Control Valve that was working great and finally fixed a year long issue with idling has failed after 5000 miles.

On the lash Saturday night how I enjoyed telling my mate I hadnt seen for a while about my success in making the zetec idle perfectly only to start the car monday and have it cough and splutter and im pretty sure it called me a c=nt as well.

After 2 Master Cylinders arrived with rubbished seals and then going gen ford and it working first time I should have known, the pattern ICV was £70 and the gen ford was £130 <------- serial!!! So obviously I went with the pattern part thinking it would at least last a year.

Currently from a stone cold start the idle thinks it a good idea to stick around 800rpm which if you then factor in the thick oil almost drags the car to stall, I have to hold the throttle in myself to hold the revs at a more suitable 1200rpm until the thing warms up, once the cars warm it performs better however is slow to react, revs drop to 900 whilst moving before the idle opening to bring it back to 1100 ish where it should be. I tell you, I have to drive out of a village down a hill with my left foot on the brake and my right keep the car running till I can hit the main road and drive normally, this is a new skill to me but im getting better at it. It needs to get fixed, as the weather gets colder the issue will manifest further, it needs to be sorted.

So monday we go again, ICV out and I have a feeling a good clean would probably fix it but how carbon'd could something get in 5000 miles? Ill clean it and keep it but ive picked up a gen ford second hand one for £35 off my mate whos breaking his car, valves only about 4 months old so should be good. Clean the TB while im at it also, hopefully get time to drop the fuel tank also and fit the fiesta fuel pump and replace with a new seal.

Pictures will follow next week and everything should be back to normal tuesday.....I hope.

Really boring update, I took one picture of my fuel tank which was removed with 20 odd liters in there, not fun.

Got really annoyed as well that I couldnt fix my newly broken idle so wasnt really in the mood, however, it turned out to be my lambda sensor, its wires were all fked up and why this causes cold start poor idle is a mystery to me but its fixed now so answers to this question over here.

Anyway, oil change, new fuel pump fitted with new seal to stop the pong and my idle has been fixed, well it wasnt really an idle problem really in the end considering.

All we had time for in my two short days off, should have some more time towards end of the month to take a look at the slight wobble under braking.

Rubbish update....sorry.
