Journey up Northampton for the first 3hrs was gash, huge tailbacks on the M5, loads of breakdowns and one car smashed to bits. Was a test for my idle which didnt faulter once I'm pleased to say! It was very hot too, fan was on, aircon was on and not a chance of a cut out :). Happy about that.

Once out of that it was a nice smooth drive, amazing how much smoother it feels with a clean TB, drive shafts, arms and new leads, oh and oil change. Was a good 200 miles although it took nearly 6 hours not the 3 it should have done.

Some nice cars here at the hotel, Sierra Cosworth, S2 and some angry looking focuses.

Just had a swim and jacuzzi lol, just gonna watch Olympics now and go sleep soon, 7am meet in the morning!

Only 20 mins from my house.

You have no excuse for being late when you are that close to the meet point. See you in the morning

To be honest I didn't think about asking if anyone if they lived near by.

Yep that's one of the reasons I booked it, only really a junction away, gonna aim to be there a few minutes before 7am.

Follow the A45 away from the M1 and at the second junction come off the A45 and pick up the ring road heading for Sixfields, keep following the signs for sixfields until you see the sign for the M1/swan valley, follow that then head for the services. That will be much easier than making your way back onto the M1 and looping round to the southbound services.

What a great day, nice to meet you all, will post the very few pics I have tomorrow, highlight was definitely Postie helping me black up my splitter.

I didn't get this post actually Trig, for the record :)
