that would be a mk2 rs2000 front end that comes down at an angle with twin h/lights

front end.

back end, origonal rear spoliers are a little bit soft and squishy but copies are hard rubber.

oohhhh, i got ya :blush: was having a moment i think :(

i dont really like that front end on the mk2's myself, i prefer the flat front i think, toying with the idea of swopping my square head lights for round ones atm, just need to find out exactly whats involved with swopping them over, i know the grill and obviously the lights themselfs need to be changed but not sure if anything else does...?

four doors look better without spoilers on to keep the car looking cleaner

 

on the mk2 i think you need to just change the headlamp bowls to accept round lights, then the gril and lights as stated, round headlight grills can be expensive now but i think there is a company making them again cant think who it is off the top of my head though, it might be retro ford or rally design or someone like that

yeh i have to agree about the spoiler's, i think id ruin my car fitting one.

 

i put a wanted topic up on osf and a guy from g.s.escorts has said he can supply new grill and halogen lamps, just waiting on a price now... which im assuming wont be cheap lol if there too much i wont bother because im not 100% sure if i do want them, just keeps playing on my mind.

i know gream, gs is ony up the road from me so i use them all the time

 

the halogen lights area bout 45 a pair but thats if they are the same as a mk1 which they probably are, there is a company called escort tec that break mainly mk2's it might even be this company that are remanufacturing the parts, they are closer to you than GS and are also on oldskool ford

yeh thats it, gream, iv given up with the round light idea now anyway, after pondering on it for a few days iv realised i want to keep it as it is on the exterior for now..

 

but today i set about fitting my first modification to the old girl if the form of a 'new' second hand exhaust system, the one previously fitted was rotten and blowing in a couple of spots so rather replacing it with standard parts i found a ashley 2-1/4" s/s system complete with a newish manifold, sounds soo nice now! and im pretty sure it'l fit the zetec manifold when i go down the zetec route... bonus :D

 

anyway, here's some pic i managed to take (not very good pics though because i received some bad news about a family member just after i started so it all became abit rushed!!)

i also got some -2" front springs aswel but im not sure if ill be fitting them now as my jack doesnt go under the car as it is now and had to get it onto bricks to get it up abit lol so i think it would be far to low with them fitted :(

got myself some winter wheels today, plan was to give them a quick temp refurb in black with a polished rim, but when i got them home and sized up against my mk2 i started having douts about them, my current wheels are 13X6j and these new wheels are 14X7j and they look maahoosive up against my mk2, begining to think they wont actually fit? ;(

 

anyway, here they are... beleive they're revolutions but not 100%

as you can hopfully see (iphone pics) the wheels do need a refurb, and you can also see how big they look! fingers crossed i can find my locking wheel nut key tomorrow so i can test fit them befour getting too involved with refurbing them...

any idea's on how to extract a locking wheel nut without the key :blush:

gearbox is a 5spd type 9, just slowly gathering bits and peices for the zetec conversion :)

 

also had the revolutions bead blasted and powder coated black which are ready to be picked up now but due to work etc i cant go down and get them until next week at some point :(

 

really need a photoshop of my wheels if anyone can help?
