tezmanian devil
Yeh it has 2" blocks on the rear and -40mm front springs but the front doesn't look lowered atal compared to the rear!Hopfully get some coilovers for the front in the not to distant future? Also thinking of getting the 1" rear lowering blocks, think 2" is just too much? But iv ordered a pair of new leaf springs from Peter lloyd rallying so I'm going to fit them and the avo shocks and she how she sits then befour deciding on anything.. Does anyone have a picture of a mk2 on 1"lowering blocks?

Does anyone have a picture of a mk2 on 1"lowering blocks?2" is a good drop for an escort/cortina. Drop the front some more Google Faulkner springs, I believe they have lowered escort off the shelf. Great company too and dirt cheap. A cheaper alternative to cookies (same as what we are doing to Tina) cut the bottom spring seat off and you can buy "weld on your own adjustable platform" and run 2 1/4 springs, which are easier to come by and cheaper then just run an adjustable strut insert. Coilies not cookies, stupid phone.

Ahmotorsport
you no what gasket i need to use for a blacktop cover?I presume just a black top one, i'm sure the bolt patterns etc are the same. I may be wrong though. We've got some black tops at work, i'll see if any of them had a gasket and if you want, bring your cover down and you can see if it's right? sidrick
Loving the project and the fact it's something different. Never understood the fascination with these cars though when you can pick up a BMW E30 for a fraction of the price.
