I to this very day cannot fathom why ford or any other manufacturer ever thought beige was the way to go. The Mk2 Capri I had came with biege interior, twas the first thing to go as it reminded me of my neighbours Leyland Princess that had a brown and biege interior that looked like a dairrhoea ridden infants arse had exploded in the back seat. not 100% sure if it was the mk2 escort that had them but I saw a set trimed in black and chequer.... looked smart.
