JC
BUS!!! @ Wayne, a 2.0 that's done 12,000 miles.... http://i906.photobucket.com/albums/ac263/lordjc1983-2/Silver%20Escort/IMAG0821.jpg http://i906.photobucket.com/albums/ac263/lordjc1983-2/Silver%20Escort/IMAG0825.jpg
heavyrightfoot
a genuine 12k miles, or is this a stevemo windup?
mickygti
Genuine mate. The receipts for a new engine from ford along with parts is here within the service history. Its a automatic few dents on the body but the engine is sweet.
JC
a genuine 12k miles, or is this a stevemo windup? Genuine, 12K, that's the reason why Mike bought it, as best option for a 2.0 as it can be driven tested. Being an auto means not been bounced off the limiter so much The car has done 70k miles, and 12,000 miles ago a new engine was fitted by ford, all with receipts, new alternator radiator and starter etc The service history shows it has had a fortune spent on it

sortedford
I think I saw that on eBay.Good move Micky, I've picked auto engines when looking for ones for an Escort due to them usually having an easier life, but it is missing the stickers tho. scottybo
would the fact that its an auto cause any problems when transferring it, or is it just a case of bolt up whichever gearbox u want, whether it be manual or auto?
Ahmotorsport
Sounds like a good buy, good spot!

Once you've changed the ECU and gearbox and fitted into your escort I don't think there's any different at all. The engine it's self would be the same. This is a right steal and I hope it's in before ford fair Micky! Should we park together or apart considering we have pretty much the same car, I reckons together!
