scottybo
how hard is it to change a mk6 steering wheel, my si had the half leather one which is a million billion times nicer than the horrible plastic ones from the later model cheersscott
PeeWee
Two long thin bolts behind the wheel set inside the foam to release the air bag (which then pulls off with a tug, remember to unhook the battery so it doesn't go off).Horn connectors pull off.Big bolt in the centre to undo.Remove all the plastic cowling around the wheel before starting too.More fiddly than hard. bronze4door
be careful when you pull it off coz you can easily break the plastic ring on the back of the wheel where the wires attach
hicksy
The small nuts on the back of the airbag are a funny size too, they are 5.5mm
