Hi folks hope we are all good , im after a bit advice here I have a mk6 van with a 1.8 tddi engine can any one recommend a engine conversion worth doing the 2 I was thinking a zetec or the more preffered one lol is a mk4 rs turbo engine but would probably be zvh . any advice would me much appreciated folks ie what gearbox would I need .

I only ask as haha ya gonna laugh at me ere but it almost appears like he's holding the camera while at the same time trying to maintain control of a ton of metal moving at high velocity?

I'd stick a Ford 4.6 DOHC V8 in the back with a transaxle.

do it. it would all fit in there quite happily, us the rs turbo BC gearbox. or failing that im fairly sure an ib 5 would fit, someone could confirm that for me though

 

if it was me personally id use the fiesta rs turbo engine. has efi rather than mfi

 

if u did go cvh turbo its really not hard to bring them up to 170-180bhp

zvh would be zetec bottom end of course, so you would be best using either an ib5 and matching shafts, or an mtx75 and matching shafts

 

ib5s were fitted to pretty much every escort except the 130bhp zetec engines and the rs2k engine (i dont know about diesel engines im afraid though)
