John16v Posted April 11, 2005 Share Posted April 11, 2005 Lee, mine has 2.0 block with everything else 1.6, ram air induction kit and ascar cat back exhaust. best run i got was 17.01 yes i was also on 17's i knew i should have changed the fuel rail and T/B yesterday. not bad considering theres a leak in the inlet piping and a blowing exhaust. one thing that has really confused me is that i beat my missus's VTR by 4 car lenghs and she got 16.8 and me 17.01!!!! to say there were only a small fraction of the people that were planned to be there it was a top day! my car looks a mess! ah well fingers crossed it will be ready for FITP PS Ralph ur a lunatic! turned into meet point at 9am, back wheel bout 4-6 inches off the floor PMSL Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anyway, times!!!!!! 1st - 17.999 2nd - 18.2xx 3rd - 17.902 Well happy considering it's an oil choked 1.6 on 18s!!!!! Sure there's some room for inprovement on the starts too. POD and normal tarmac are not alike Raced Chappers twice, 1st and 3rd runs, beat both times. 2nd run I was more gentle at the start because I spun it a bit on the 1st run. Gearchanges were good on all runs, and the last run was the best start, hence best time I WISH WISH WISH I had the nitrous installed this weekend...... as John said, an MG and mini joined us 100+ halfway along the A45 to the meet point. Was flat out in 4th all the way, the mini was just edging past but if i'd have had the nitrous I'd have gone LOL PMSL @ most of us signing on at 2pm! Loads of little stories throughout the day! Namely doing Guildford to meet point in just over an hour........ Quote of the day, Chappers *aimed at me* "haha, your car's gonna blow up" Really looking forward to next weekend, hoping for some low 17s as I'll only use NOS in 2nd and 3rd gears - 1st = loads of wheelspin or smoked clutch!
