reid
anyone ive spoke to mark says it should be 'flattened' the next day with some compound and wax. paint takes a few hours to dry but a few weeks to fully cure. thats the way i'll be doing it mate but at the end of the day its up to yourself
mcflycossie
when I had my RS 3/4 resprayed I asked him how long i should wait till i polished it etc.. He said to me I could do it that day if I wanted and that the paint they use these days didnt need time to set etc.. I waited a couple of weeks still

Tez162003
i still say leave it, yes mopping etc in a shop is for flattening the paint, while its soft, waxing and polishing adds a layer of particles over the paint, which means the paints cannot breath and harden properly, example of soft paint, when i did the splitter, i drove it next day, and stones etc just stuck in the paint as it was soft. anyway up to you! id just give it a good clean if it were me, but its not me! id have waxed it in early september,

karl
me and my bro painted my wifes car, or rather part of it the other weekend. i was flatting it back with 1500 1 hour after the laquer had gone on, then g3. was fine. still need to t-cut and polish though. as for my car. the boot was about a week or 2 old before i 1500, g3, t-cut and then polished it. came out with no probs.
