People like me n Lee have absolutely NO chance of getting onto the housing ladder, worse story was this bloke who was left some money £80,000 and was on bout £16,000 a year in his job at the council on the outskirts of London but in Surrey, still couldn`t afford the average house of £200,000 cos the bank would only offer him about £60,000 as a mortgage, bloody ridiculous aint it??? :vangry: :vangry:

Indeed it is Mr Ross ;(

My parents moved from Surrey to Southampton...DOH!

My house is a small 70s, 3 bed end-of-terrace in a close, and its worth about £145-150,000! 8o

Hardly any of the houses round here on the new estates are under £200,000 8o

Cant see that Im gonna be able to move out until Im about 30-35 :(

tell you what the prices down there r mad, my sister lives in Southampton and just paid 130k for a 2 bedroom terraced house.

We checked what she would have got up here and it was something like this !

living room, dining room, 5 bedrooms 2 with en suite, bathroom, w.c, breakfasting kitchen, garage, along with open views over the River Forth.

Prices in England are a rip off we found this in Dalgety Bay which is a very sought after area about here 8o
