Its not easy, you go out thinking 'well I can do this here, that there' and its completely different. you know how fast I was going round brooklands, struggling for grip, really feeling on the edge of the cars limits (wether I was or not is a different matter, thats how it felt). 35mph. a pissy 35mph and struggling for grip. before dabbing the brakes before copse I was doing 100mph, underneath bridge I was doing 70/75mph. not astounding speeds at all, the tight bend at Ireland was a second gear jobbie. reid Posted August 7, 2007 Share Posted August 7, 2007 i really want to give the track a go. nearer the end of the year when the fiestas running out of mot (will need serious work to pass another) i think i'll be taking it up the road to knockhill or crail and taking it a run round the track. i got such a buzz from just watching it i cant imagine what driving it will be like!! I had to find out who it was, and what it was (other than a mk6 escort). Its a 2.3 RS2000 on throttle boddies, running about 215bhp. no wonder he overtook me.
