Trig
Picked up a Rover 220 Turbo inlet manifold from the ol' ebay... fortunately the seller listed it at 2am which meant noone was around to bid it up.. So I got it for £36! snipetastic! It will be getting some treatment..so it was you that won it. Mine just says 'injection' on it, I would prefer the one with turbo, but what I have will do, especially as it cost 20 notes for the inlet and for it to end up sat in my garage. Stu
The 'injection' one is the later version, not really sure if they're much different. This one will be getting modified anyway so it's academic. There used to be a lot of hype about these inlets years ago (mainly because Sunny Khalsa ran one I think), but they're not like some godlike conversion, but they do flow more air than any factory zetec manifold, which is what I need. Trig
I dont think they are any different. I only got one because it looks neater than the cast efi inlet
Stu
Well I just had a chat with someone who's flow tested the rover inlet and it turns out it may not be suitable.. Humm.. Apparently the 130PS inlet will do 350bhp!
McRic
I painted the wheels on the Vec graphite grey Not a great indication of the clour but will give you an idea.
massivewangers
I still like the idea of Smokestone myself! I've heard the 130 inlet can flow very very well. But to be honest, I just think it looks cack, which is kind of a sad thing to base my opinions on, but oh well! Couldn't you use the lower portion of the zetec inlet and add a custom plenum? Wouldn't cost much to have knocked up would it?

What lower portion of the zetec inlet?, it was one piece last time I looked I have a plan now anyway, looking to modify the plenum on the rover manifold and go from there. massivewangers
Oh really? I thought it split just near the the injectors so the portion that helf the fuel rail was seperate to the plenum? I might be wrong of course, been a long old time since I had one apart!
Stu
Well, yes there's the 'sandwich plate', but it's not really the lower half of the manifold. The plenum is the square bit that the throttle body mounts to which all four runners come from, so it's nowhere near the part you're talking about. Stu
Purchased a new diaphram for the Audi wastegate for $75! Was lucky to find this place as the only guy on ebay who sells them appears to be a complete Texan tosshead who wanted $120 for them, WHEN he bothered to respond. Turns out they all come from Germany anyway, oh well Also purchased a stainless steel outlet flange for the wastegate for $20 - cheaper than getting one made here for sure! Was going to buy some oil feed/return adapters for my turbo, but I think i'll have a word with my UK turbo guy to see what he has in stock. I hate all the different pipe fittings you get, i'd rather just stick to one kind!
