reid
I've been attacking some of the dash fascias I bought.. How's this look for TomTom placement? It'll be filled and smoothed in either side and re-paint the whole fascia to suit, maybe in that soft-finish paint.. http://di.cx/gallery/albums/escort_saloon/stu_a300_120108_001.sized.jpg same idea i had for a sat nav, well except you actually tried it lol. Stu
So.. I'm at a bit of a loss about how to get a sub in the saloon. I've not played with audio for a long time but as you can see, this 'project' isn't the usual Stu. My best plan of attack right now is to build a low-profile box under the rear shelf/deck to house a sub or two, using the OE speaker grills in the rear shelf.. I've come across these 6x9" sub-woofers which I think i'd be able to use... http://www.tb-speaker.com/detail/1230_04/W69-1436/w69-1436_3.jpg http://www.tb-speaker.com/detail/1230_04/w69-1436.htm They're $75 each.. more than enough power handling.. I'm open to suggestion from ICE gurus on how else I can do it, without cutting into the metal deck at the back...
stoo2000
You can bolt/screw whatever 6x9's under the shelf to the bottom of the shelf, all that's required is new screw holes. so instead of the usual of putting the speaker in from the top, you do it from the bottom. Also Stu, can you get one custom made to fit in the corner off the boot?
Stu
Also Stu, can you get one custom made to fit in the corner off the boot? Yes but there's no point as the boot is sealed from the cabin, that's the reason i'm looking to build one around the rear deck.
