Hi all

Quite pleased with myself.

I didnt want to start cutting up my electic window loom so decided to make this to plug into it instead.

This fits inbetween the window plugs and the switch.

Plugged it in and it worked 1st time. Fits nicely in front of the gearlever.

What ya all think?

very tidy,so does that mean u have 1 touch up/down both sides? and i wonder how that will work,will it go and stop correctly?

Yep up & down on both front windows. Tried it and all works fine and the window stops where it should.

Its a ghia x so already has one touch down on the drivers side hence why theres 3 not 4 relays.

so how does that work then? how do you plug it in etc?

Ill see how this one works for a while before i start making them. Easy really, the instructions are availible just requires a bit of common sense.

Was going to wrap the loom up but i wont untill ive long term tested it.

Shouldnt have any problems though.

I'd buy one off you, i really wanna fit mine but just can't be arsed at the moment cos its so cold, I'll buy one now if you'd make one, i just imagine its just n extension to the orignal loom. Would you also make one for the sunroof?

They stop in the right possition.They take a bit of getting used to.If you want up/down & want to stop it half way,you have to click the direction the window is going in.

If its going down when you want to stop it, & you click the up side,it will one touch up. It done my head in for a while.

I think hes made a extra adaptor that plus into the original switch plugs one end,& the other end plugs into the Blue plug shown in the picture. The other two plugs in the picture goes directly into the switch.

They fit in the space in front of the gearlever, the wires go to one side and plugs into exsiting window plugs.

 

1. Unplug the switch

2. Plug new loom into switch

3. Plug new loom into existing electric window plugs.

i would buy one , for up/down for both windows as mine does not have any

i'd buy one,it'd need 4 relays,or if u cud do a wiring diagram i could DIY make one, are those just normal ford one touch relays u get from ebay?

yeah the realys are the same as the ones on ebay.Either from mondys or escorts. On the five wire ones,just ignore the center wire. I dont know what that does.
