Westy88
That's a tidy looking motor you've got there. The slightly bad boyed bonnet looks the nuts! Edited April 18, 2011 by Westy88
Danzetec
As some of you know I didn't make it to FITP (in my car) and, although I'm back on the road, I'm not taking it to Classic Ford because its just not ready But the new engine is in and running on a standard 2.0 ECU, so no boost until I have the turbo inlet complete and get the megasquirt sorted to run it Anyway I got a couple of pics of the car today as it was nice http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb87/Danzetec/IMG_0092.jpg Intercooler is now fitted back up and will black heat-shrink the s/steel clips to hide them http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb87/Danzetec/IMG_0094.jpg I've custom made the magnex fit the estate and fitted a standard ford oval tailpipe which I've finished in satin black http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb87/Danzetec/IMG_0095.jpg Got my boost and AF ratio guages up and have fitted a puma 1.7 gearlinkage which has a shorter throw So just got to get inlet and ECU/mapping sorted now Edited June 4, 2011 by Danzetec
jghs83
Love it. Would love to see it in the flesh, (& have a crafty spy at the intercooler piping ) Question? How hard was it to mod the back box to fit? I hate the dustbin/backbox on mine.

JC
Looking good Dan! Any problems fitting the puma linkage? or any tips, as tempted to get one in mine when the box is out?
bongo
Looking good Dan! Danzetec
Question? How hard was it to mod the back box to fit? I hate the dustbin/backbox on mine. Basically I cut the exhaust at the backbox and where it goes over the hanger, then rotated the sections and used a 90deg bend to take it round the damper. Then I extended the tailpipe and had to make an exhaust cut-out in the bumper Any problems fitting the puma linkage? or any tips, as tempted to get one in mine when the box is out? As above John, it comes down from underneath the exhaust heatsheild and just allign the new one on the marks where the original one was. It makes quite a difference and is pretty good but does seem to move the gear position forward slightly Edited June 5, 2011 by Danzetec

I will probably do the aluminium pipes in antherite grey at a later date too but its basically there now http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb87/Danzetec/IMG_0127.jpg
