Danzetec Posted February 26, 2006 Share Posted February 26, 2006 Finally got the guage mount cover plate powder coated so I thought I'd post sum pics This is how the mondeo console fits at the dash end. The original ashtray is removed and the mondeo unit sits like this when the unit is screwed back down at the armrest end. The sides are pulled in to the dash using the screws as in the mondeo This is my guage plate, not only holds the guages but also brings the dash into the centre console Overall I'm well happy with how its turned out, just need to finish wiring the guages and mount the electric window switches in the console where the coin holder was! A big fan of improvisation myself wouldn't black screws look a littl better on the gauge plate, or are they temporary until it's all finished? The reason for the mondeo centre console is because its got a proper arm rest with storage underneath for cds etc. The standard escort one is for tapes, too small for much else and useless for change The colour difference only seems to notice with the flash of the camera- looks normal in daylight ur knob looks manky,the shaft bit,cover it up man,or polish it Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
