Danzetec
Thanks for the comments guys, I got a couple more progress pics The inlet is tacked together to trial-fit and have got to machine the thottle body plate down next. It will be all fettled in and then painted black to look original Pretty tight on space, especially with air-con, but q.happy so far http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb87/Danzetec/wipenginebay4.jpg http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb87/Danzetec/wipenginebay3.jpg

HIGHTOWER
Looking good mate! What throttle body are you using? I'm going to be running a cosworth TB with the ICV built into it!
Danzetec
Using a zetec 2litre TB and a bosch ICV from a BMW 316- it fits with 25mm pipes Got another pic of the inlet after welding and a bit of working today, still needs finishing off http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb87/Danzetec/wipenginebay5.jpg Need to get this finished off soon, want to book shows etc this year

HIGHTOWER
That looks fooking good!!! Them wldes look like they're not there! My inlet has been modified to fit a zetec, but I've fitted a mondeo servo amd master cylinder, and the servo is HUGE, pus I also have that air con pipe there, too! To say Im curious about the fit, is an understatement! Gotta say the detal here is ace! I can't wait to see this finished, cleaned up, and working! I see you're running a dump valve! I really can't decide if I want the duribility and nice sound you get with the dump valve, or the sex wee sound of the flutter you get without, but the extra wear on the turbo! Stu
I personally wouldn't run a dump valve, especially an atmospheric one (unless it was dual piston design).. turbo wear by not using one on a journal bearing turbo of small/medium size is negligible.. dutchkev
not alot of room in that engine bay anymore is there

What's the benefit of duel piston? I'd prefer flutter! It costs nothing extra, and it sounds ace!
Danzetec
Ah I knew I'd get it wrong lol, its a forge single piston so I'll take it back off and see if I can afford a dual at some point... I would quite like one, even if it is just for the sound Dutchkev, its taken a bit of effort to get everything in and allow for movement but it is close. I've got a pair of 9" fans coming next week which I hope to fit without having to move the radiators forward Yeah Hightower I'm cleaning the welds off to make it look like a standard casting
HIGHTOWER
I admire you for being able to de-code wldes as welds! Had you been drinking too?
danposs86
That engine bay looks awesome, get it finished and get some cleaned pics up. Bringing it along to any shows this year?
