MissCellaneous
Hiya, after a bit of advice if possible! I lost one of the centre caps from my Finesse a while back to a car part thief! Before I bought the car, the caps had been sanded down and sprayed in the same silver as the car, just to tidy them up presumably. However I got my hands on a brand new set of them from Ebay the other week. Problem is - I'm scared to put them on my car. Every other Escort owner I know has had theirs nicked. Is there any way I can put these new shiny things on my not so shiny (but tidy enough) 10 year old car in such a way that they can't be removed? I know its a long shot, but they can be popped off so easily, and I just doubt they'll stay on for longer than a week!

bluliz
You could try gluing them, but if someone want's them they will get them off. Its a shame that people are sad enough to steal a center cap Welcome to EVO! no-nail the feckers on a pray for no punctures As far as i know only the really late 2000 finesse which has the 7 spokes 15" RS7 wheels had a cap that covered the wheel nuts! MissCellaneous
Nah they don't cover the wheel nuts so I reckon I'll try gluing the things! I actually have moved to a nicer area since one was robbed, so maybe it won't be so bad! Thanks everyone, we'll see what happens!

If they don't cover the nuts... glue them on!... maybe as some nice coloured vandle paint to the wheels...
SteveB
Be aware though that they need to come out to have the wheels balanced, so don't glue them in with araldite - use something that you can pick off from the inside.
