Why is the 2.0 not finished you may as well have put the 1.8 parts on it while you had both engines out

Nice to see progress

simple answer is i am skint, the MOT and tax and insurance are all due on teh mk1 so teh cheapest and easiest way to get the car back on teh road was to put another 1.8 in it, it has been sat dead for over 6 months and i want it for some track action at ford fair

also while the 2.0l engine is in pieces i want to put new shells and rings and renew everything becuase its going to get used for trackdays and hopefully some sprint events so i want to know the engine is right

hopefully i can do it a bit at a time and get it built then swap the bits off my dead engine and drop it straight in

both doors have been cut out this much so far and its roughly lost 4kg out of each door, next is to attack it with the drill and some hole cutters

dont forget though this car is my daily ride so i cant go absolutly mental with it just yet
