160hp at the wheels on a 1.8 zetec on carbs? You're dreaming.

Mr Stu,

How much would the 1800 head on a 2000cc block alter the compression? and how much 'extra' if any power would it give?

Also any running issues etc that would arise from this? extra components you would reccomend?

I'm more than likely going to find these answers when I click on Jordans thread, or, Get lynched by Pete for asking it in here

One thing we never actually checked my compression ratio (as my head has been tweaked from the standard) as we completely forgot to measure Tue clearance volume problems that could arise are pinking or predonation you would obviously need to get the car mapped to get the full benefits which when I come into a bit more money I will be setting up my megasquirt ecu and doing

They call me Predictable.

By predictable do you mean Lurch

Yaaaarp.

We're about to get fecked up by PeeWee.

More likely is a spell of post review to prevent the temptation, I did ask for the msn style conversation to stop as it gets a bit ridiculous in all fairness.

  • 3 weeks later...

the engine is now fully stripped and the crank is getting one of the journals polished as it has a small mark in it from a bit of rubbish it must have picked up

the rest is all looking good should get the crank back on tuesday then get all my new parts and get it built back up and in the car
