GHanson2009
oh right did you re-paint the engine bay then when you did the enine swap? No as the engine will be coming back out when the car gets resprayed, im aiming to buy that new 2ltr silvertop from Stooo but not sure if i will yet, if i do that will go in after the respray, None the less the engine bay is going to be painted satin black the same as later model escorts, Keeps it looking nice & fresh then and easier to keep looking that way. How much was that alarm Hanson? Car is looking fantastic BTW, what color you aiming for? Alarm system was only about £60 inc P&P Next Day from eBay direct from Hawk AlarmsAlarm System: ClickyWindow Closure: Clicky Theres quite a few addons available for it, i got boot poppers etc too Colour Choice, Hmm im leaning towards one of these three at the moment:1. Mondeo ST Performance Blue2. Diamond White3. Flame Red Im thinking ST Blue for the sheer gorgeous-ness of it! but its going to be hard to keep maintained if any rust/scratches etc were to emmerge. Awesome car, some amount getting put into it, what we talking so far out of interest? Thanks Well a rough estimate is around £2700 so far, but thats including buying this car and the donor car, a £500 set of coilovers that i gave my brother. Plus consumables and new tools abour another £1100 Cashpit huh? lol it will be worth it in the end. mk5 RS front end FTW, wheels look good Love the front end of the RS but imo its best kept where it is, i've got a mk5b i may do that too in the long run. i like alot mate, not sure about going down the mk5 route as others have said as then its a mk5b look Thanks alot

horizon
excellent project thread - I quite like the purple as it is unusual! With the lower strut brace, are you not able to use the mount as well as the brace?
GHanson2009
excellent project thread - I quite like the purple as it is unusual! With the lower strut brace, are you not able to use the mount as well as the brace? Theres nowhere for the mount to go on the subframe with the brace, that being said ive covered 2000 miles on the Si130 Engine now and so far not a single mount-related issue, I've shot a set of driveshafts but thats just me "Struttin" my new found power lol. There have sadly been no updates recently, Infact a disaster... somebody scuffed the rear bumper, Then somebody has key'd the paintwork... both superficial as its having a 100% overhaul weather isnt permitting me todo anything new yet so im just collecting parts. May well be up for sale by the end of the year if i manage to find a good mk5b shell for my CossieCab Project
