GHanson2009
Thats the idea 90 Degree bend on the TB lengh of pipe then an angled peice to send another lengh of pipework strait into the old battery location, Then a long pipe coming from the front of the car (or maybe even a catch pipe below the car coming up) then maybe rear bonnet lifters to get a whole load of air caught in there

danposs86
looks fecking awesome!!! and dont you just hate the HUGE space left when putting a aftermarket filter on Then fill the huge space http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d150/danposs86/mk6/DSCF2916.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d150/danposs86/mk6/DSCF2914.jpg

geordie_aaron
how about making a VERY small angled scoop of some description on the scuttle panel to feed said area instead of having pipes everywhere? could make one for the otherside too to match up nicely.... GHanson2009
Todays Progress: - Wired Up & Fitted Digital Dials - Replaced ECU / Ignition & MAF Sensor with the 130 Spec ones - Replaced Broken Stalks for New 6 Speed Wiper Ones Pics: Old for New (Top = Old Obviously)http://fordfenatic.com/red2/29-09-09/29092009146.jpg Same Again:http://fordfenatic.com/red2/29-09-09/29092009147.jpg And Finally... Fitted & Working:http://fordfenatic.com/red2/29-09-09/29092009148.jpg Hope you like todays progress i can confirm she is now running like a bloody charm in comparison to last night, it cost me £15 worth of fuel todo 7 miles this morning running it on the 1.6 ECU as the EGR Valve was constantly closed, meaning only 2 cyl's worth of exhaust fumes were actually getting released, im guessing the thing is MAJOR blocked up now, so im off to furrows to enquire about blanking lugs to remove the EGR Setup from the Manifold. It's only 14:38 so there will probably be more updates this evening including a fully working engine video, maybe an "On the Move" video and obviously more pics of todays progress I'm off to VW now to pickup my new power roof mechanism to get that working again too how about making a VERY small angled scoop of some description on the scuttle panel to feed said area instead of having pipes everywhere? could make one for the otherside too to match up nicely.... Hmm that does sound interesting, will get pics tonight and photoshop it, as i've just bought a Carbon Fiber Scuttle Panel and will be nice n easy to cut & modify
KNITERIDER
looking good mate. is it sensible having the supercharger BEHIND the engine? surely its one of the hottest places, dont you want it where its going to be coolest? what bhp you aiming for? im guessing your stripping/rebuilding the engine to cope with the extra power? geordie_aaron
just thinking actually.... does the scuttle go ABOVE or behind the battery area? i've forgotten....another idea could be outward pushed louvres (acting like a scoop) on the bonnet feeding into that area...... smashin idea thouh - never heard/seen anybody mention it before Edited September 29, 2009 by geordie_aaron
adi
Doesn't really matter where the charger is, its the temp of the air fed through it that matters, maybe a bigger intercooler would compensate for that?
