andaba
eBay rims look good Sid, but IMO they suit the more aggressively kitted E36's way better than the standard ones. You planning M3-style front bumper or anything? Edited February 17, 2010 by andaba
sidrick
Probably an M3 front and rear, andaba. Just back from collecting 2 of these:http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/adolftitler/car170210003.jpg And 2 of these:http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p89/adolftitler/car170210004.jpg I must say I'm delighted with these. They're newly refurbed with hardly any marks on them, and the 2 x 235/45 17w Pirelli P-zero Rossos have never seen the road! Utter bargain at £150 IMO. I think they were just so cheap as they were up here in Aberdeen and the guy wouldn't post Shall price up front tyres at work tomorrow Edited February 17, 2010 by sidrick
sidrick
Forgot to say, all centre caps are brand new, all are genuine BMW too. Oddly, the wheels are the same size, 8J, when i thought the fronts would have been 7.5J. Might still look at 225's for the front, not sure. sidrick
No real update. Today I bought a pattern ABS sensor for the front, various screws and nuts for the disk back plates and ABS sensor mounting and also some No More Nails tape for the number plate surrounds. I've decided to stick them on to avoid any potential rust issues of screwing them in, and the NMN advert shows them sticking a seat to a wall and someone sitting on it (!!) so that should be enough for my number plates, lol. Also I put in for a quote to get a (second hand rust free) front wing sprayed and fitted to replace the questionable and rusty o/s wing on my car. Even though it's a dealership (VW/Audi and BMW bodyshop) the guy didn't think it'd be too much, especially since I'm staff. The wings are just bolted on anyway, unlike the Escorts which IIRC are bolted and welded on.
sidrick
Stereo harness arrived today so test fitted that. Working fine and looks good (Kenwood KDC-241). I'm not really into my ICE, just something that does the job and can connect to my ipod. I'll get pictures of it fitted in the daylight this weekend. Ironically, I arrived home today to empty my washign machine, and what should greet me but my ipod touch. I was able to pour the water out of it so I assume it'd pretty fcuked. Last week I removed the boot interior light bulb after my brand new battery going flat within days. Car started fine tonight so that's been the problem. Shall ask my brother to investigate where the circut is going wrong, but it'll almost certainly be the switch in the boot, which I'll find and replace. In the Escort I had a sub, nothing too dramatic. But for some reason, I felt if I put it in the beemer it would 'cheapen' it. How weird is that. Anyway, keep the progress going. It's looking good. Im purchasing some angel eyes soon, and they're not badly priced, complete with bulbs and indicators etc. If you want, once I have them fitted and see if they're any good, i'll give you details of where I got them? Your right, I have just removed the 6x9s from the RS as i think it lowers its status IMO, Kind of similar to putting big granny knickers on a fit bird

Lee R
Lol, i think its safe to say that Trig has a rather bizarre opinion on shopping etiquette and it is obvious that the majority of us do not agree. No amount of posts are going to clarify this any further. Meh, I have to say that I agree with him. coming on nicely. loving the ridiculous ICE comments (not yours)
