And a quick pic of it fitted :)

Motor is stranded ATM...I thought the clutch cable snapped but on closer inspection it's the little plastic ratchet adjuster thing above the pedal. £14 for the part from Fords. Gonna be a right pain to fit I can tell!

As always, comments welome :) good or bad I won't cry or lose sleep lol ;)

Common fault on Escorts, happened to me about a year ago, you are right it is an absolute pig of a job to fix, try and get the car on a ramp at chest height if at all possible and it will be easier but still fiddly, there is a thread about it on here somewhere.

Nice one guys...getting a lot more positive remarks than expected :thumb:

Had a few people stop and admire it whilst out and about :))

On another note i fixed the clutch quadrant last night. Took just over 2 hours and was a bit of b@stard to fit but its done now :D Gears are now much easier to select, reverse doesn't crunch and the clutch feels great. The how to guide on here was a BIG help! Well done that man!

Heres another pic of it parked up at home (sheltered parking was a bonus at my new flat)

Still need to order new plates but can't decide what design to get. I miss my metal pressed plates :( lol

Here's a pic of my busted clutch rachet/quadrant. Checked the date stamp - 97. Nice!
