I really like this car, some great touches.

Why not get your mate the wrapper to do the gear surround and the dash insert with the carbon stuff?

Thanks mate!

I have thought of that but the trouble with the carbon vinyl is it's too thick and it's already started to peel on mirrors. I'm going to talk to him though as they have thinner stuff in various patterns.

I like that alot mate!

I'm half looking for a cabby myself if i'm honest.

Personally I think no vents, but i've only had a quick read over and not seen your full idea on them.

Thanks mate, love my cabby. Great on sunny days. Had the top down at least 5 times haha!

The only reason I'm thinking vents is because if I get my bonnet airbrushed the guys got to respray the whole bonnet anyway so I may aswel play around with a spare bonnet and customise it. Just looking for ideas and opinions. Don't want to ruin a nice motor

Grabbed a quick interior pic @ night, actually a lot brighter than it looks though, especially when interior light on too

SMALL UPDATE:

OK, so i'm still planning on fitting the Astra GTE vents, and spraying the bonnet with artwork, or now possible vinyl wrapping as half the price! Just wating for a little extra bit of cash to come in before i can go through with it all. Ive managed to get a decent bonnet from the scrapyard which i test fitted...

Fitted fine, just needed a quick clean. Once it was on i thought i would leave for a bit, rather than swap straight back as i dont plan on cutting the bonnet up yet. Its actually quite grown on me and i think the black suits well with the lights, splitter, roof and wing mirrors. Im now considering a carbon fibre vinyl wrapped bonnet, or dark artwork so keeps the dark theme going.

Pic parked up at work...

Had a little play with a new app on my iPhone (dash of colour)

And another app (photoshop) which was free and pretty cool i thought!

to this...

And when lights are turned on looks like this...

Obviously going to look better when its darker, but i like and now matches my blue LED clock and speedo lights! Nice little mod and another freebie from the yard ;) Love it. A white GTi came in today with WRC rep front bumper, normal GTi bits, angel lights and lexus lights. Thought about the bumper for 5 minutes but decided would ruin my car...reckon it would look cheap and nasty!

As always, comments welcome :)

But now what if you forget what each dial ment and what way it should point? lol

Your car just gets better mate, and I too think the black bonnet looks cool as phuk, getting some grey shadowy style air brushing on the bonnet will look good!

Haha its not hard to remember bro...left hot/cold, middle power, right positions (may forget these but just got on amount of air blowing out vents :thumb: jobs a good'un

And thanks for comments as usual...i like the idea of the shadow style

I think you might be in danging of getting into the 'modification for modification's sake' frame of mind.

Im of the opinion that subtle mods pretty much always look better, and I think a carbon wrap/black/airbrushed bonnet might be a bit too in your face with this car.

Still think that this is pretty much all you need to do, perhaps small, discreet air vents on the bonnet, but kept in the same colour

Just my two cents, mind.
