TC-DNB
Now has a new rear axle (gti) with 2.0 Focus discs. Needed some rear brake hoses from a Mondeo to fit but other than that the conversion went smoothly. Nice (slightly) wider stance at rear which will require a little bit of arch rolling to stop scrubbing with passengers/bumps. Front and rear calipers now painted red which looks great IMO. Pictures to follow when I get to a computer

I know have a tight handbrake cable and the handbrake itself doesnt come up stupidly high haha Now has a new rear axle (gti) with 2.0 Focus discs. TC-DNB
Stickered window looks good and a lot better now the rear has discs. It's much nicer to drive now. Can slow down with confidence and the wider stance at back feels and looks good. Really need to roll the arches though. Rubs like a biatch down all the back roads haha. And yeah I prefer the window now it's full but not sure how long they will last. The word 'chav' comes to mind haha
Stu
If you think your braking has noticeably improved since changing to discs on the back I recommend you get it on a brake tester (MOT station) as it may potentially be unsafe. 90% of the braking is done by the front brakes so changing the rears shouldn't make a noticeably difference, if it does it may mean they're way out of balance and potentially dangerous. Was only on the rollers last month as full service and MOT done. Brakes all tested fine so I shouldn't think the front brakes are an issue but I'll look into it. It's probably more in my mind than anything. Nothing was wrong with brakes - I only changed as bushes in axle had worn out and I didn't like the look of drums. Thanks for the heads up though Stu
