btw, ST24 is a mk2, not a mk3. Don't own, nor will I ever own a mk3

Because they are too good?

off topic, is there some kind of unwritten rule that all banger racers have to be painted by the pikeys who do fair ground rides / hgvs with 60s style stuff on them

It's not because banger racing is an American culture thing? They don't exactly paint their Daytona cars much better, probably cause the panels will get nailed anyway and this is painted like a row 20 Daytona car, or from someone from the caravan park in the background.

mk3's are so much better bar:

DMF's

early duratec 4 cylinder engines killing themselves

tdci's killing themselves with injectors, fuel pumps

rear subframe bushes

early mk3's rotting doors and wings

locks playing up

loads of electrical problems

where as mk2's is rust

oh yes and mk3 parts are alot more expensive than mk2 and the more mk2's banger raced the rarer mk2's become making mine a rarer car :D
