well like it a lot more once its not a poobag 1600 lol

you're soo right.. its gutless, but ill b starting to check the 2 litre head over in a mo..

 

Project 2000 is starting sort of lol :thumb:

The head is stripped and checked out very serviceable

 

It's flat, no cracks, just needs a decoke and valve grind :thumb:

 

I've got 16 new lifters for it so head will b good to run soon..

 

Thanks to Bongo, top man for the healthy well packaged head :thumb:

 

no probs mate,it only done a few thousand after i had it skimmed (7 thou) and i fitted new valve stem seals.

 

That explains it being very flat then :D

I used JTR Engines on the Nuffield this time as Robinsons have closed down..

 

So here's a pic of the 2 Litre head resting on a piece of wood for the photo, next job is to decoke the valves n grind em in baby LOL

Is this just gonna be a tidy 2.0 or is it gonna be built up with a bit of ooomph?

For now just a fresh rebuilt 2 litre lump will perk up driving fun. Later thinking of turbo, but its a q of what comes along for sensible money.

 

As Scott says, its my roadcar so reasonable economy and drivability count for now.
