Used Unipart rattle cans for it, they're £2.50 a piece, which is obviously a bargain and they come with a 'fan' nozzle so it sprays like a proper gun, very impressed. Ahmotorsport Posted August 1, 2012 Author Share Posted August 1, 2012 C20LET bottom end houses pistons. Quattro springs cleaned and painted Golf back together, runs nice. Alfa distributor back in, flat battery, got to find out whats caused that. Found a HT lead on it's way out on the landrover, cured that, will check the cam timing and do a test run again. Ahmotorsport Posted August 2, 2012 Author Share Posted August 2, 2012 Land Rover got a set of plugs, owner collecting it tomorrow as it's all sorted now. Alfa's distributor kept 'popping' out of the hole. The plate that holds it in had bent, lifting it out of the teeth just enough. Put that back in, timed it up and it fired into life and sounded good. Cossie bonnet back on. Painted the centre vents on the new Quattro brake discs, 'branded' the springs and put a new hub bearing in one of the struts. Went over to a guys house with a Saph Cossie, he thought head gasket had gone, it hasn't. So wash and wax for that.
