GingeRS2K
Either the wheel is being held on with no bolts or the caliper is dangerously close to the spoke even there is clearance.
JAMGTI
they do look very close, i'd go for the 17s like on heavyrightfuts car, or the 17" softspoke type. both will be easier to find too. or how about some compomotive MOs

Might google compomotives, I dont know alot about rims to be honest. Reason? I ask because, Ive just fitted new drop links and camber adjustable bottom arms on my GTi running 17" Super Ts. 50mm lowered. Camber and tracking is bang on where it needs to be (4 wheel alignment been carried out) My car still feels like its wandering, and follows ruts/lines in the road. Could this down to the 17" wheels? Dont want to spam up this thread, so once this is answered it can be deleted if wanted.....

Dont want to spam up this thread, so once this is answered it can be deleted if wanted..... Ive had 17"s for a long time and never had any work done to correct any obscurities. Its well known that escorts can handle 17's fine so it shouldnt be the wheels causing the problems. Its always a pain when you cant pinpoint whats going on! Honestly dont think its the wheels though. Possibly to do with how much its lowered??? Doesnt normally affect people too badly. Do you have coilovers or just uprated dampers and lowering springs? Coilovers could probably handle bigger drops slightly better? But back on topic! RS7's phil are the nuts.....but 17's the way forward. Mike-evans
Its sat on coilovers.. Ill be lifting it up from 50mm to 35/40mm very soon, just to make it more practicable and try and reduce steering/suspension components wearing out fast .
