Pictures can be deceiving! As mine was owned bij the Dutch city of Zoetermeer it was kept very well technically, but on the inside it's a real builders van. I've still have a lot of work to do there. I'm sure yours is as good as mine. Ever thought about doing the back up with wood panelling? It's not as tough as it looks.

Im always changing my mind Peter. As we are only differing in age by 2 months,I was 18 or so when the craze was to jack up the rear of mark 1 and 2 Escort van and stuff the widest wheels you could get on the damn thing, and stuff loads of buttoned dralon and fur fabric in the back.Instant passion wagon. What I will do is see how yours finishes up and maybe i will have a go at it as well.regards Andy

Sure you could in England, here in Holland Escort Vans are quite rare so kits are expensive. Made mine from rest ply I had laying around so cost me nothing but a little time. It's a sport for me to get the Van done as cheap as possible, Spent only 1300 quid up to now, including the Van which was 800.

Peter, my son,you play the same sport as I do.Not only are we of a similar age,my access to money to spend on my hobby is extremely limited so the van is done on an extremely tight budget,All the more pleasing when you get a decent comment on it,don't you find??
