Really liking your van especially with the fogged bumper, now please dont take this the wrong way but what ever were you thinking of putting that snow plough your selling on the front of it, possibly the most hideous thing i've seen fitted to an escort lol looking forward to meeting you and your car at fordfair  tomsy.

Only me and not the van I'm afraid Tomsy.Funds dictate that tax and insurance will have to wait ,and I can't see me getting that by then mate.regards Andy

the laguna splitter needs cutting up so it fits but it does look good. any more plans for the van for the near future?

Well mate,I have got to try and clean up the engine bay and the ancillaries prior to fitting your old strut brace and think about the arse end if a cossie bumper cant be found for a decent price.Maybe just find a one piece rear bumper off something oldish to replace the two quarter bumpers. There must be something out there to fit it and give it a different look.

As of now,I am the owner of an immaculate, unscuffed Laguna splitter. Them securing staples ain't half fecking sharp though.Somehow my little pinky ended up covered in claret!Anyway I felt so guilty when he said I could have it,that I gave him a tenner which he is gonna use to buy his kids a KFC bargain bucket.Bless him.So everybody wins.Gonna rivet it on tomorrow as I don't wanna lose it now I've got it.Any other fitting tips?????

I would bolt it instead of riveting. Then you'll be able to take it off in winter.

If you hit a piece of ice with it, is ruined (had experience). So mine's bolted and coming off before snow in winter.

Peter.

Thanks Peter.Point taken and I will bolt it on tomorrow.Next question. Colour code or keep it black?? Black wins I think.

Unless your a very careful driver i would use some small nuts and bolts i had self tappers in mine and was for ever catching it and pulling the self tappers out.

Cheers tomsy.Gotta go to the hardware shop this morning to get some doggie bags so can pick them up then.Thats not to say that I am not a careful driver but.........................................................

Update, and yes Lee ,the pics will follow at the weekend.Splitter has been bolted on and lacquered.Looks the bizz on a white bumper.Whilst clearing my mates garage of the old 280zx parts we have still got,I found a pair of tailgate struts. These items are now holding my bonnet up without having that feckin factory abortion right where you need to be to dabble wiv the oily stuff. Finally ,and don't laugh,I've stuck some bonnet raisers on it.Don't think it looks too bad.Ain't seen them used on a van round our way yet.Regards Andy

I know tomsy, but the priority is to clean up all my Datsun bits ready for collection when it sells HOPEFULLY at the end of the week.(IF IT DOESN'T FOR THAT PRICE YOU HAVE TO QUESTION THE MENTALITY OF OLD SKOOL JAP LOVERS!!ABSOLUTE BARGAIN).I only posted because I was sitting by the 'pewty in a pool of sweat after a 2 hour session wiv me bits!!!! regards Andy
