http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y388/scooby_itfc/IMGP2289_zpsff39826c.jpgAs you can see,I have utilised two tailgate struts of a 280zx to get rid of the annoying bonnet stay that always gets in the way whenever you do anything under the bonnet. My bargain Laguna splitter has been fitted by copious nuts and bolts, and the cheapo bonnet lifters have been fitted just in case I didn't like them.At the moment,I still like the overall effect. Also today,I stuck a matching Ford badge into the middle of the lower honeycomb grille to match the upper grille. What you think Guys and Gals??

I think it's getting better and better! The bonnetraisers are not my thing though, guess it's a British thing, never seen them anywhere else.

Going to be nice! I'll keep watching here!

Peter.

Thanks for the reply Peter.Maybe in a couple of weeks I won't like them lol.As I have said before,I cant help changing my mind..............or can I? Regards Andy

Loving those bonnet struts are they readily available and were they easy to fit.

They were relatively easy to fit just needed to tease the inside of the inner wing to stop the nut catching it when the bonnet opened mate.I would presume most struts off rear hatches could be made to fit.Mine are bolted at the bonnet hinge and at the edge of the slam panel and voila instant fix.regards and good luck in the future and keep the car looking as it does now,ANDY(minimal capitals used)

Matched up the lower grille with a Ford badge off my white grille, removed vinyl stripes off the roof in order to smooth off the roof rack grooves and respray the roof white.

After the negative feedback regarding a cone air filter I utilised a can of silver paint and zapped the air filter box, piping and inlet manifold with a few coats.I am happy with the results. Finally ,I added some cutdown honeycomb to the windows in the splitter to keep everything to a theme at the front end.Thoughts please...

Regards Andy

Really liking the honey comb on the splitter gives a different slant to a common mod might have to have a go at that myself.Vans looking really cool good work Andy :thumb:

Thanks tomsy and Lee.

I was surprised how the paint took to the flexy pipe .It should compliment scottybo's old strut brace which I should get next Sunday.

BRING ON FORD FAIR.

Righto, the Ford logos were bought at Ford Fair for a reasonable £15 and they change colour depending on the amount of sunlight that hits them, from black to almost invisible in bright direct sun, which is a bonus.

New discs and pads have been fitted and now it stops!!!!!

JCs flocked wheel is now fitted and is being guarded by my namesake lol.

The Puma was bought to replace by daughters dead Pug 206.

I've bought it and have let her long term borrow it until she moves out with her boyfriend.

It cost a whopping £250 with 11 months MOT.(1.7 zetec s lump,V reg)

The pre DPF 1.6tdci Fiesta replaces the Pug 308 which my missus decided she hated because of her inability to 'give it some' to get out of junctions safely(her words, not mine).

I went along with it just to keep the peace(fek off,I would have done anything to get back to a Ford again!!!!)

70mpg and 20quid tax is just a bonus.

These pics were taken before the smoothing of the roof,so pics will follow later on.
