tomsy
Spotted this focus st at ford fair on sunday, apparently a racing puma spun out in front of him he hit it snapped his track control arm lost his steering and hit a barrier. http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/31404.jpg http://www.evo-host.co.uk/getimg/31405.jpg In the second photo you can just about see the racing puma all ready loaded on to a truck. The st owners son was in his fiesta st in the same session and had to drive past his stranded father as the session was abandoned. What surprised me was that when the passenger air bag deployed it smashed the windscreen.

sidrick
Thems the breaks. Hopefully they were both properly insured.
SteveB
Thems the breaks. Hopefully they were both properly insured. No chance. Even our race car insurance doesn't cover use on track.

Stu
Track insurance is nothing like road car insurance. Massive excess (probably more than this will cost to repair) and it doesn't cover you being hit by a third party iirc.
bronze4door
there was a photo on facebook of two cars at the point of impact and a big write up for people to donate for the guy to buy another racing puma and blaming the focus owner for bad driving if you ask me there were too many bad drivers on track and not driving by the rules of a track day, i was overtaken on a corner for example by a 3 door cossy adn at one point the cars were 4 wide going down the back straight and too tightly packed together
SLEEMAN
no doubt the ST owner would have track insurance or lie his arse off and say he did it elsewhere lost control blah blah Balls
JC
There was a racing puma that spun in front of me on my session, there was some very sharp braking and severing to be done! if you ask me there were too many bad drivers on track and not driving by the rules of a track day, i was overtaken on a corner for example by a 3 door cossy adn at one point the cars were 4 wide going down the back straight and too tightly packed together yeah i didn't enjoy it so much this year, too many pratts in STs and a fiesta that were annoying me on my session! there were just too many cars on a tiny track
