Nice, very nice GTI 8) the abs in the Escort does not exist :(

my abs seems to exist quite fun around where i live near the bottom of quite a steep hill is a metal manhole cover in the road about 4 foot wide and as long as an escort at the left side of the road if its been raining and i break over the cover with the OS wheels on it the abs goes nuts .. its the simple thing in life that amuse the most

Looking one tasty motor Paddy.Do you really need to lower it?

Love it the way it sits now personally.

Regards Andy.

Cheers bud I'd at most drop it 20ish so the wheels sat better in the arches going to have to decide soon anyway she's leaning slightly to drivers side but for all I know she's still on the original springs and shocks she left the factory with

Why disagree with 6x9's? Just cos everyone has them? The offer great range of sound, bulks up the overall stereo sound and evens it out throughout the car.

Took the paper speakers out of the shelf supports because they were naff all they did was rattle because the screws keeps coming loose so I'm running 2 decent front speakers the 6x9's on the shelf the 6x9's on the sub box and the sub

6x9's are crap also with the sub they'll be cancelling each other out, decent set of 6.5" components upfront and a sub in the boot is all you need, having speakers behind you just drags the soundstage behind you when you want it upfront where you are.

Thats why you have speakers all around. Yes good components are great but if you running amps you can setup components, 6x9s, subs very differently for the best sound. They more of an all rounder yes but i wouldnt say they crap.......unless you buy cheap!

you'll never see 6x9's in a decent car setup, pop over onto talkaudio, you can learn alot....

yes rear speakers are ok 13cm coaxial's are great for rear fill but will be almost faded out to the fronts.

thing is ok 6x9 are ok ish and can be good ive heard some mounted on an axis on front doors which sound ok,but to have them behind you firing at the roof, doesn't sound to good, most people like them because theyre cheap, easy to install and mostly give out good bass, but thats why you buy subwoofers for.for your average guy 6x9's are fine.
