furry Posted May 29, 2006 Author Share Posted May 29, 2006 surprising the bike did well, plastic damage really be back on road soon.i'm typing 1 armed at the mo cos right arm in sling.cracked and chipped index finger, heaily bruised shoulder and arm tendons. twisted knees and bashed head.gloves / helmet / and leathers all trashed but they saved my life!!! Twisted Tenderness Posted May 29, 2006 Share Posted May 29, 2006 Sorry to hear that mate, ive done the same thing before and its only after when you look at you leathers and helmet you see just how much they did save your life. I done the same sort of thing but at lower speed about 90, and when i got chance to look at my helmet there was 2 holes in it where the tarmac had rubbed through it. AndyCanning Posted May 29, 2006 Share Posted May 29, 2006 one of my mates did this on his r1. he was doing a video of the tt course in isle of man and he put his foot down and got to about 160mph and he lost control the same way... he broke 3 ribs and his arm and part of his leg. he said he only felt pain when his 24 grand bike went boucing down the road, he didnt care about his injuries! he know has an r6...
