fluff2007
Car is looking gd as ever m8, im lovin that center console. reckon i might have a go at that myself. Always wanted a arm rest. got a bit confused on what u actually used in the end to make it. could u make a list up fr me pls? Reckon a set of balck angels and RS 7's would finish here off nicely!! Keep up the gd work m8!!
JC
bet all the dynamat set you back some! yeah, esp when it needed 2 trunk kits not quite as much as the audio itself, its why i've invested heavily in security! and why as Steve put it i'm a magpie at times! just looking back at the pics of your armrest, how will you be able to adjust the seats? http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Silver%20Escort/DSC00940.jpg you can make out the one adjustment thing from there, its a bit tight, but tbh i rarely adjust my seats anyway! once i've found the confortable driving position it stays there.... it moves up and down and backwards and forwards fine, jst the tilt is a bit fidly! Go for it! make one better! I took a standard centre console, cut it, to leave the bit round the gear knob, used a piece of mdf to build a base to fit, then used pieces of mdf to build a box then used the lid off a scorpio's arm rest for the top of the mine, then covered the mdf in a fake leather fabric using spray glue. i'm sure there's better ways but thats how i quickly made it.... i think its ok for a 1st attempt, if i do say so myself! I wonder how many people noticed it at ford fair lol! So list of item used: 1 standard centre console sheets of mdf leather look fabric spray glue top off a scorpio arm rest Do like how the angel eyes look on the silver escorts, but cant justify spending that sort of money on them, kicking myself that had a broken headlight and needed a replacement in a hurry so went for a new standard one...... plus not sure if angle eyes work with head light protectors! It has got RS7's on lol! just baby ones!

JC
Got round to doing the sound deadening in the door today. wasn't to impressed when i discovered what some one had done to the door skin: http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Silver%20Escort/DSC01043.jpg which resulted in this: http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Silver%20Escort/DSC01042.jpg grrrr so aquired a new one with magpie skill! went a little mad with putting it all done the inside of the door: http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Silver%20Escort/DSC01045.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Silver%20Escort/DSC01046.jpg then sheet added to back of speaker: http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Silver%20Escort/DSC01047.jpg all in all makes for a better sound quality and improves the bass! Still need to sort out my boot install hide all the wires and mdf, put the sub box in properly! Edited August 19, 2008 by Lordjc
