adrianj
Nothing much happening with it at the moment, but had a puncture last week and took it to local garage and their compressor was broke so went to a random garage and the guy there said nice RS, I couldn't stop laughing! some random pics not long after i tried out the Megs 3 step: http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Silver%20Escort/DSC00877.jpghttp://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Silver%20Escort/DSC00883.jpghttp://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Silver%20Escort/DSC00882.jpg http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Silver%20Escort/DSC00878.jpg Looking really special!! It is good to see that there are some people still left in the UK that actually want to be individuals and look after what they have. Question - have you fitted footwell lights to this car and was the wiring / bulb holders already there (hiden up)? Before someone hijacks this question by saying "the times we get this one" I have just bought a W reg 2000 1.6 Finesse and can't seem to locate them - having ready done this mod on my S reg 1998 Finesse. Barry-334
Looking good John. Its one of the newer Escorts in the club, and you've looked after it so it'll probably out-live most of the others! The centre console suits the leather interior. Nice mod, very different.
JC
Cheers for all the comments guys Looking really special!! Footwell lights have been fitted to the car, Steve, (1pukkadeal) bless him, spent hours fitting them at the last Herts meet! They took a while as apparently none of the wiring at all was there for them and no bulbs or holders were there! It would appear in these late models the wiring is random! As steve found the wiring for my seat but the wiring was sead! Looking good John. Its one of the newer Escorts in the club, and you've looked after it so it'll probably out-live most of the others! The centre console suits the leather interior. Nice mod, very different. cheers When I bought it about a year and half ago looked all round the country to find the mintest and newest example i could find! Its been maintained regardless of cost... mad some people would think but i love it! little up date: with a week off stripped out the back (it'll be going back in....) http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Silver%20Escort/DSC01002.jpg and started putting the sound deadening in: http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/aa82/lordjc1983/Silver%20Escort/DSC01003.jpg Got all my audio now so going to maake something up in MDF to hold the amps, so i will still be able to use the spare wheel and put my seats down... JC
what audio gear are you putting in all together? 12" sub,(3000watt) proper box, 4 channel amp(2000watt), mono amp, (3000watt), new heavy duty wiring all round, run by alpine head unit with usb, and probably next month alpine imprint (all guarded by a viper and big dog)

JC
you got a snake and a dog guarding your car any specific brand names on the sub and amps? Yup viper lives in the car... and dog for when the car is home, and secure car park when at work! went for the loudest audio.com, the watts quoted are from them and i think are rather over rated! pics of the beast of the sub: http://www.theloudest.co.uk/admin/site/product_data/images/image_85_5_large.gifhttp://www.theloudest.co.uk/admin/site/product_data/images/image_85_3_large.gif Edited August 7, 2008 by Lordjc
