reid
wee bit more done today. from http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh37/srj_mcsar/07052008995.jpg to http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh37/srj_mcsar/09052008996.jpghttp://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh37/srj_mcsar/09052008997.jpg it still needs a bit more work to smooth it in. did a bit more work to the skirt/arches you can see, and fitted the skirt at the other end. tbh im getting pissed off again, i fcuking hate having to sand down filler and use it tiny bits at a time to get something spot on. but as i said i want to do most of it myself so i'll keep on. reid
Progressing well, reid. All the prep work seems to take ages but it'll be well worth it in the end mate hopefully mate! just bought a few half decent sprayguns so i'll be building myself a booth and painting the car myself too. if it takes me 100x till it comes out decent then so be it. the issue i have atm is with the back doors. i can 'pop' the lock open but the doors dont actually open if you know what i mean. it needs some kinda force pushing it out. i was thinking of welding a spring or something in but it'll look pants, anyone got any other ideas? how do the TVRs do it? ScORTED
you could either release the catch so the doors only latch on the lock or as you say you need a spring so that the doors pop open a bit

reid
you could either release the catch so the doors only latch on the lock or as you say you need a spring so that the doors pop open a biti dont think that sounds too safe eh James lol.. although i spose i'll be in the drivers seat// im sure ive seen sum door popper spring things on ebay a while ago.any links mate? Weld a spring mate, but do it on the door, not on the door frame if you get me, wont stand out as much i reckon.aye but i still think it'll look balls. was thinking about welding one in at the b pillar, but dunno if it'd have the leverage to open the door. i dont need it to open fully, just enough to be away from the catch, and to get your hands in behind.
