reid
no probs mat Sorry reid, had to hang around to keep all my hoe's in order. Think we should sometime, i'll bring the vodka bring em with you and thats a plan your caravan may be a bit to upper class for these bints... i don't want them getting a taste of the high-life & deserting me, now.... wheres that talcum powder gone?!! theres a full mingin yard outside there tho mate, sure i can mess the place up a bit more too if your bringing some right manky burds up LOL, anywhore... i mean anyhoo.. tonights progress, erm pulled the gearbox out of the mrs' Ka - cnut of a job -, ready to do the clutch in the morning http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh37/srj_mcsar/ABCD0015-1.jpg then stripped the inside of the escort out and got it sealed. i spent 30 mins the other day brush painting the bootfloor.. i did the full inside of the car with the gun in 10mins, and its was much more fun LOL. http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh37/srj_mcsar/ABCD0014.jpghttp://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh37/srj_mcsar/ABCD0017-1.jpghttp://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh37/srj_mcsar/ABCD0018-1.jpghttp://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh37/srj_mcsar/ABCD0019-1.jpg 2moro i need to go get the Ka clutch and fit it, stop the exhaust from blowing, a little welding, and sort the handbrake and the horn, and then i can start on the escort again. hopefully get the underside of it sealed and remove the aircon, maybe get the new oil pump and timing belt fitted to the turbo engine, all depends on how everything goes. but im having fun with this, trying out lots of new ideas, and if anyone else has any suggestions then fire away

robexor
reid, why do u need to seal the interior floor. thought that what undersealing the car was for not the inside? Thats does look the nuts tho
reid
reid, why do u need to seal the interior floor. thought that what undersealing the car was for not the inside? Thats does look the nuts thosimply because i wanted to check the floor for any signs of rusting from either side, i know what theyre like for letting in water .. and once its in there it doesnt leave. figured while it was all out i may as well prevent it from rusting anytime soon either. ScORTED
simply because i wanted to check the floor for any signs of rusting from either side, i know what theyre like for letting in water .. and once its in there it doesnt leave. figured while it was all out i may as well prevent it from rusting anytime soon either. Most find out the hard way like me, when i lifted the carpet and found a tiny leak had made a mess large enough for a plate, although i plan to just paint the inside of mine rather than underseal it, dropping the tank is fun,
reid
right due to still walking like John Wayne with my sore arse ive not been down the garage much the last few days, but will be hitting the escort hard in the next few days to stick to my completion date. last nite i sat down and started on fitting my screen into my dash. decided on making a cradle for it to sit in that will be on a hinge (ie flip forward and slide screen out the top) so that it can be removed when im not in the car. piccy of where it'll be sitting, http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh37/srj_mcsar/dash-1.jpg piccy of the start of my cradle building.http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh37/srj_mcsar/ABCD0002.jpg obviously will look a LOAD better once its finished and smoothed in/painted, fibreglass always makes things look messy as hell im still looking for a sender unit for my digi dials, which is proving an issue since i cat lie down to get under a car at the scrappers Edited February 20, 2008 by reid
