Squav
I just put a quote in and it would cost me between £2300-£2400 for a standard RS2000. I'm 18 with 0 years NCB. who was that with? Norwich Union.
Stu
Would you people seriously consider paying that much for insurance?!

Stu
The most I ever paid was £1380 fully comp on a modified rs turbo when I was 18!!
KNITERIDER
i pay 1000 a year on mine (that was for my 1.8si but has stayed the same when i transfered to a 1.6 as i have a claim which no doubt will put my insurance up next year ) and another £650 for my motorbike with 2 years no claims... what gets me is they are saying a 19/20 year old is safer when on a £3000 bike (compared to a £500 escort) that does 160mph and gets there at a silly speed compared to me in a metal box that is as slow as sin...find that a bit strange! escort4x4
id never go fully comp if the premium exceeds the value of the car, it is pointless plus if u do have a accident, ud never get paid out the value to which you bought your car. save up your no claims, best way to go then after 3 or 4 years you would of saved up enough money for the car you want, mods if need be and insurance. plus the faster car you get the more your tempted to put your foot down then fuel consumption/maintenance and also the old bill come into it if your not careful, my 4x4 2000 drinks petrol like its going out of fashion, my wallet feels it compared to fueling a 1.
