danposs86
http://www.fordday.co.uk/graphics/ford_day_forum_advert.jpg www.FordDay.co.uk Yet again, EscortEvolution will be at the Annual Ford Day in Blackpool. It's not the largest show, but there is always a very nice collection of the blue ovals with a number of different clubs attending. Plus, for fellow Northerners, it's oop North, which makes a nice change. As usual the Ford Day is held on the Blackpool Seafront (Middle Walk) Promenade. Sunday 13th September 2009. The organiser has asked for all cars to be on site by 1pm and that there are no departures before 4pm. However, as I have seen it gets hectic if you dont get in early, but I will post up the meet times closer to the show. Tickets are only £3 per vehicle. If you wish to attend this years Ford Day Blackpool, then more details can be found in the members area. THIS SHOW IS NOW CANCELED! However lets not waste the day, see page 3 for plans for a club day out. Edited August 5, 2009 by danposs86
HIGHTOWER
I've allways wondered about this show! I HATE blackpool, mostly because of the amount of people who are there! Make me feel really clostrophobic! What's it like for people in a small space? It it spread out or really packed in?
dutchkev
looking at last years pics its all outdoors along the prom area, so no confided spaces
danposs86
It's held along the middle walk promenade, so rather than blocks of cars, its basically one long line of Fords, makes a good show as you see all the cars there. How we normally do it is arrive at say 9am, park up then go to a nice cafe for breakfast.
HIGHTOWER
looking at last years pics its all outdoors along the prom area, so no confided spaces Confined spaces don't bother me, it's lots of people in a small area inside or out! I HATE city centres for that reason! Blackpool is normally packed full of people! Can all these people just wander in, or is payment for admission on foot, too? danposs86
No people can wander in as the promenade isn't closed off to the public. TBH mate, if you can manage the show at Kendal, you will be fine with this.
HIGHTOWER
TBH mate, if you can manage the show at Kendal, you will be fine with this. That's good enough for me! A nice comparison! Might have to make the effort this year!

PeeWee
Isn't it Agoraphobia?
HIGHTOWER
I've heard and read loads of deffirent terms for it, and most go round in circles and mean the same thing! It's agrophobia AND clostrophobia! ...At least both definitions of it suit! Agrophobia is essentially a fear of wide open spaces, while clostrophobia is a fear of small spaces! I'm not scared of either, but too many people around me gives me a really bad feeling of being in a place that's too small for me! ...I'll start a new thread, save this getting blocked up with me being a pussy about people! haha
